Autodesk Experts Demo with BOXX Workstations at SIGGRAPH 2015

AUSTIN, TEXAS, August  11, 2015—BOXX Technologies, the leading innovator of high-performance workstations and rendering systems, today announced that their hardware solutions will demonstrate a selection of software applications inside BOXX booth #223 at SIGGRAPH 2015, the premier event for computer graphics and interactive techniques, August 11-13, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA. The demos, featuring experts from Autodesk, will showcase both creation software and rendering applications. The booth will also host the introduction of new BOXX products.

Autodesk M&E Senior Technical Specialist Gary M. Davis, along with Autodesk Technical Marketing Specialist Chris Murray, will demonstrate the Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite 2016 while Josh Johnson of will demo (for Cinema 4D) Arnold, the Monte Carlo ray tracing renderer. These guest demo experts will rely on BOXX APEXX 2 and APEXX 4 workstations. The compact, liquid-cooled, APEXX 2 features an overclocked, 4th generation, Intel® Core™ i7 processor (up to 4.5 GHz) and is available with up to two, full-length NVIDIA or AMD professional graphics cards. APEXX 2 also provides outstanding support for engineering, architectural, and product design software. APEXX 4, configurable with up to two Intel® Xeon® processors (36 cores), or an overclocked Intel Core i7, is ideal for rendering and simulation. The versatile platform is also available with up to four professional GPUs. An APEXX 4 7901, featuring dual Intel Xeon processors, one NVIDIA Quadro K1200 GPU, and two NVIDIA Quadro K6000 GPUs, will also demonstrate NVIDIA Iray +, while an APEXX 5 (dual Intel Xeon and five GPUs) demonstrates GPU rendering using V-Ray.

The BOXX booth is also home to renderPRO, the world’s first personal, dedicated rendering solution for 3D graphics, animation, and compositing, as well as a pair of powerful mobile workstations. Designed for media and entertainment professionals, as well as architects, engineers, and other professionals, GoBOXX MXL features an Intel® Core™ i7 desktop processor enabling users to create on-the-go without sacrificing desktop workstation performance. Also on hand is the ultra-thin and ultra-light GoBOXX 15 SLM notebook.

Elsewhere on the SIGGRAPH 2015 exhibit floor, a pair of BOXX APEXX 7402 systems, each featuring an Intel Core i7 processor, one NVIDIA Quadro K1200 GPU, and three NVIDIA Quadro K6000 GPUs, will demonstrate Lightworks’ Iray + for 3ds Max plug-in at Lightworks booth #923. BOXX APEXX workstations and renderPRO can also be found in Chaos Group booth #807 demonstrating the latest V-Ray features.
